WABAG secures $48million contract for Sewage Treatment Plant at Jeddah Airport 2.

VA Tech Wabag Limited, a leading Pure Play Water Technology Indian Multinational Company has announced in a statement, secured an order to execute the 300 MLD Jeddah Airport 2 Independent Sewage Treatment Plant (ISTP) Project.

The independent sewage treatment plant (ISTP) project located is in Jeddah Airport 2, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The total signed contract value is $48 million.

The Project has been awarded by Main EPC contract, Saudi Arabia based Saudi Services for Electro-Mechanical (SSEM) Works Company. the company said in the filing.

The plant will be built by WABAG with the state-of-the-art NEREDA technology for the first time in the region, a sustainable and cost-effective wastewater treatment technology that purifies water using the unique features of aerobic granular biomass.

This plant will be increased 500,000 Cu.m per day of the wastewater treatment, the company said in a statement.

WABAG will be responsible for process design, engineering, procurement of process equipment comprising process control instruments, supervision, commissioning and demonstration of process guarantees.
