SEC provided 262 million riyals for two power stations in Medina

His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, praised the role played by the Ministry of Energy in enabling the Saudi Electricity Company to expand electrical projects at the highest levels of quality that contribute to enhancing energy efficiency in the region. This came during the inauguration of His Highness the two projects of Al-Nakheel Transfer Station and the New Airport Transfer Station and linking them to the network of the Electricity Company, with a total value of more than 262 million riyals, through visual communication technology, with the participation of the Governor of the Electricity and Cogeneration Regulatory Authority, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Ibrahim, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy for Electricity, Eng. Nasser Al-Qahtani, Acting CEO of the Saudi Electricity Company, Khaled Al-Rashoud, and a number of company officials.

His Highness, the Governor of the region, indicated the importance of redoubling efforts in following up the implementation of electricity projects in Madinah and its governorates according to the approved time programs. Consistently high.

The projects of the new airport transfer station and the Al-Nakhil transfer station aim to counter the high loads on the feeders of the adjacent transmission stations, and to enhance the feeders loaded in the electricity network, to serve 46,000 subscribers in eight neighborhoods including, the King Fahd scheme, Aira, Al-Aqoul, Al-Haras, as well as Al Salam, Azizia, Al Zahra and Laayoune scheme, and support the feeding of subscriber services in a number of sectors, including King Fahd Hospital, grain silos, and the King Salman Conference Center. Each transformer station consists of 3 transformers with a voltage of 13.8 / 110 kV with a total capacity of 201 MVA, 3 capacitors of a voltage of 13.8 kV, and a group of overhead lines and ground cables for the two stations in addition to specialized systems for communication, protection, and remote control.
