Saudi Arabia issued tender for Jubail 3B IWP

Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), formerly known as Water & Electricity Company issued the tender for Jubail 3B Independent Water Producer Project (Jubail 3B IWP).

The plant will be designed using Reverse Osmosis (RO) seawater desalination technology. The expected capacity of Jubail 3B IWP, the desalination plant will be 570,000 m3/day.

Electrical Facilities for the project will be fed by 380kV Substation. As per the information, the commercial operation of the project will be in the Second Quarter of 2023.

The desalination plant will be located in the Jubail area, the eastern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The tender issued to the qualified Consortia of Jubail-3 IWP, announced by SWPC.

SWPC will purchase the output and whole capacity of the project, under a Water Purchase Agreement for a period of 25 years.

SWPC is advised by Synergy Consulting IFA Inc ‘Lead and Financial Adviser’, DLA Piper Middle East LLP ‘Legal Adviser’, and Atkins ‘Technical Adviser’.

SWPC already awarded the Rabigh-3 IWP having a plant capacity 600,000 Cu.m/day to ACWA Power Consortium and Shuqaiq-3 IWP having a plant capacity 450,000 Cu.m/day to Marubeni Consortium.

Yanbu-4 IWP ( Plant Capacity 450,000 m3/day) and Jubail 3A IWP (Pant Capacity 600,000 m3/day)  are under evaluation by SWPC.
