Oman awarded $25 million 400kV Manah Substation

Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) awarded the project for the construction of a new 400kV Manah Grid station with involved Overhead transmission line.

The Project has been assigned to Joint Venture (JV) of Trade Links & Services (TLS) / Civil Contracting Co. (CIVILCO) LLC, Oman based construction company.

The value of signed agreement is $25 million.

The project scope of work comprises end-to-end Engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and commissioning of the Gas Insulated Switchgear bays, including four incomers from Manah Solar IPP and involved substation automation and relay panels.

This switching station removes renewable energy generated by up to 1000 MW. The substation will be constructed on the latest grid technology & infrastructure design to integrate with the rapidly transforming national grid seamlessly.

The project target to deliver on Oman’s commitment to increase renewable energy generation to 10% before 2025.
