The Honorable Phosphate Society revealed, on Friday, a program of support for projects to supply the population with drinking water, especially for the territorial communities that register properties in this vital material.
The complex (Contour site), through its program “Act for Community,” and in coordination with the local authorities, drilled and prepared a well to supply the inhabitants of the roundabout of the Mahadi community of Ajdour in the Yusufiya region and the adjacent roundabouts (Awlad Salem Roundabout, Al-Khawadra Roundabout, Al-Awaisat Roundabout) with drinking water.
This project will contribute to correcting the problem of water scarcity at the level of the targeted circles, especially in light of the data related to the lack of rainfalls in the region during recent years, with their tendency towards extreme conditions (droughts).
This project was highly appreciated by the residents of the beneficiary Douaires, who praised the efforts of the regional authorities, and the voluntary involvement of the pioneers of the “Act for Community” program who accompanied the cooperative (the project holder) in the completion of this well.
This initiative, the first of its kind, comes within the framework of the efforts made by the local authorities and the Honorable Phosphate Complex (Al-Contour site) to alleviate the effects of the recent drought in the region.
