Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) published the bid results for the following projects in the northern region of Saudi Arabia.
- Construction of 132kV Overhead Transmission line (OHTL) between East Qurayyat Substation and Qurayyat BSP
- Connection of Sakaka-D Substation with 132kV network.
A total of 7 bidders has submitted the proposals. India based construction firm, Larsen & Toubro Construction (L&T) has submitted the lowest bid. L&T submitted the combined price of SAR 77,150,000. The tender was issued during, June 2020 by SEC. (read more)
At Qurayyat, project Scope of Works comprises design, construct and complete one (1) new 132kV double circuit OHTL between East Qurayyat Substation and Qurayyat BSP. The circuit will have three-phase, twin conductor per phase, vertical configuration, ACSR CONDOR conductor. Approx route length of the OHTL is 34.5km.
At Sakaka, the Project Scope of Work also comprises design, construct and complete the new 132kV Underground cable circuit from Sakaka-D Substation to Al Tuwair Substation. Approx route distance of 132kV Cable is 10.1km.
The Contractor shall perform on a Lump-sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing, and commissioning.
The contractor need to obtain the final acceptance of the work within 17 months from the date of the contract signed.
