US based Oil & Gas firm Advanced Refining Technologies LLC a joint venture between Chevron and GRACE has submitted the bid. Advanced Refining Technologies submitted the lowest bid of $261 million. the successful bidder will provide Full Cycle Catalyst Management Services for five years No.1 Residue Hydrocracking Unit 1RHCU.
Bahrain Petroleum Company gets the bids for the project providing of Full-Cycle Catalyst Management Services for No.1 Residue Hydrocracking Unit (1RHCU).
BAPCO Modernization Programme is a 1 Residue Hydrocracking Unit 1RHCU which is powered by technology licensed from Chevron Lummus Global. The BAPCO Modernization Programme is having a two train RHCU with a capacity of 65,000 bpd. Less than a dozen of these units exists globally, and Bapco’s 1RHCU will be among the largest on the planet. The plot size for 1RHCU is approximately 260m x 260m.
Bapco’s current main fuel products are gasoline and middle distillates, include diesel and jet. After the project is completed, its production of middle distillate will increase to around 78 per cent from 58 per cent now.
